About us
We are a dog loving
family, consisting of
Christina, Elisa, Kia,
Vagn and Anette. We live
on a small farm south of
Holstebro.
We have had dogs since
1983, when we bought our
first dog, an Irish
Setter from
kennel Vestklit in
Denmark, since then we have
had a Kleiner Münsterländer "Bob" and a
Labrador retriever
"Sika".
For some time we had been talking
about buying a Golden Retriever, so
in the spring of 2004 when our "Sika" was
ageing, we decided that
it
was the time.
This was the beginning of
our golden
history, when we had our
first bitch puppy,
Nikita from the
kennel Kildespring on
Als. This was the
start of a hopefully
life-long love
relationship to breed
Golden Retrievers.
We have since then
extended our team, both
from Kennel Jako's in
Norway, and from Kennel
Dewmist in Sweden. So
this turned out to be more than just
an interest in a family dog, it became a
serious acquaintance
with the breed, and the
start of our kennel
Golden Focus.
We believe that the best
training is done by
meeting other dogs. That is why we are both
members of DRK and DKK
and are happy to attend
the training programme of
DRK. During the years we have had
Golden Retrievers, we
have met a
lot of wonderful and welcoming
retriever owners, and
they have all offered us
their competent
assistance.
We have since proceeded
with exercises for field
work, which in our
opinion is a fantastic
way of stimulating a
golden retriever.
Through our
membership of DRK and
DKK we have been to a variety of
fairs and exhibitions,
where we have met some
wonderful people who
like us are caught by
this "golden rush".
They were all
delighted to help us start-up
with our golden
retrievers.
Through our experience we
will continously try to
develop and strengthen
the breeding of golden
retrievers.
